Jazz trained and electronically inspired,

Graduating Cornish College of the Arts in 2009, Bews has been exploring the expression of music and rhythms through jazz and electronic music while accompanying a variety of bands and projects around Seattle and New York City. His time in New York was greatly influenced by drummer Mark Guiliana. Having the privilege of studying with him and being exposed to his creativity and performances regularly has shaped Bews into a sought out musician in the Seattle music scene.

Over the past few years his extensive studies in electronic music has led him to some opportunities to work with video game app developers in making sound effects and sound tracks, creating beats and moods with dancers and more notably with the company The Three Yells, and performing his own distinctive work as a soloist.

Relatively new to the scene, Bews is uncompromisingly committed to serving music and the applications it has to offer while maintaining and developing his personal expression, making him an ideal pick for anyone looking to add forward thinking ideas to a project. Bews says: "I believe even the simplest of music requires as much attention and mindfulness and the most complex."

Devin Bews lives and works in Seattle, WA. He's available for drum set and Ableton performances, music and sound productions, and private studies.
